Special Interest Group on CRAP

Once again the world seems to be agog about the olympics. I can appreciate the interest that people have in watching the best people in the world perform in sports, but what bugs me most about the olympics is the constant drumbeat of nationalism that pervades it. I think that the American public likes the olympics the most because it’s a socially acceptable substitute for war on other nations (which they also seem to like). Personally I can’t wait for it to be over.
